Who may use HubLink
HubLink is not directed to children under 16. You must be at least 16 to create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 16, we will delete it.
Data we process
- Account and identity: Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In provide your user ID, name, email address, email-verification status, and sign-in provider. We do not receive your Google password.
- Profile: your name, email address, profile avatar, account creation time, access role, and account restriction status.
- User content and activity: posts, post images, captions, links, link-preview fields, comments, likes, author identity, and timestamps.
- Notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging may process app-instance and device delivery identifiers and technical delivery information. HubLink uses notifications for new content and does not use notification data for advertising.
- Technical and security data: Google/Firebase may process IP address, device/browser details, authentication events, diagnostic logs, and abuse-prevention signals to operate and secure the service.
How and why we use data
We use data to authenticate users, show profiles and user content, provide comments and likes, deliver notifications, control administrative access, moderate abuse, secure and troubleshoot the service, comply with law, and respond to support or rights requests. Our bases, where applicable, are performing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating a safe service, consent where required, and legal obligations.
Public content and external links
Posts, profile names and avatars, comments, likes counts, and social links may be visible to other users or the public. Do not submit information you do not want shared. When the app retrieves or opens a link or link preview, the external site may receive your IP address and browser or device information under its own privacy policy. We do not control external sites.
Service providers and transfers
Google LLC and its affiliates provide Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Hosting, and Firebase Cloud Messaging. They process data for us under their terms and may process it in countries outside yours. Those locations may have different data-protection laws. We do not sell personal data and do not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services.
Retention and deletion
We retain account data while the account is active and user content until it is deleted, moderated, or removed under service limits. Recent-post limits may remove older posts. Operational security logs held by Google/Firebase follow their retention settings and legal requirements. Backups or cached copies may persist for a limited period before being overwritten. We may retain minimal records where required for security, disputes, or law.
You can permanently delete your account and associated profile, avatar, comments, likes, access record, authored posts and links, and authentication identity at the account deletion page. Deletion is irreversible.
Security
We use authenticated access, least-privilege database rules, encrypted HTTPS transport, bounded content, and Google/Firebase security controls. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, or request a portable copy. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent and complain to the relevant authority. Use the self-service deletion page or email oasis.app@proton.me. We may need to verify your identity.
This policy and this website
This policy site contains no ads, analytics, tracking pixels, or images. HubLink does not set advertising cookies. Google authentication may use browser storage necessary to complete sign-in. We may update this policy when the service or law changes and will post the new effective date here.
